Jr. High Scholastic Bowl

 

IESA sponsored competition for seventh and eighth grade students. There are five students on each team. Students compete against other schools in matches consisting of 30 toss-up questions and up to 20 bonus questions. The questions cover all areas of study including fun areas such as sports and television.

Activities

  • The students compete in four regular season matches against other schools in the area. Each match is against two other schools.
  • They also compete in the conference tournament and the IESA tournaments, beginning with the regional tournament.
  • At the end of the season the students host a match in which they compete against their parents.
  • The students also give up lunch two days a week to practice for the season
