Ecology Club Activities

The Ecology Club is sponsored by Mrs. Kendra Carroll and membership is open to everyone. The Ecology Club recycles cans to raise money for field trips and environmental service projects.

Envirothon Team Wins 2010 District!

2009 Envirothon Team Sixth Place at State! First in Aquatics!!

Ecology Team

A four member Ecology Team competes at one "Eco-Meet" held in the fall in Sullivan, on Lake Shelbyville. One team is from the High School and one is from the Junior High. The students study three topics chosen by the Army Corps of Engineers, who sponsor the event. The topics vary each year.

Envirothon Team

A five member team competes at a local Envirothon in the spring. Winning teams advance to state and national levels. It is sponsored by the Soil & Water Conservation District. Topics are: Aquatics, Soil, Forestry, Wildlife, and a "current topic" that changes each year. This year, the current topic is Forest Fire Management.
