The Regular
Meeting was called to order at 5:00 PM by President Means.

Superintendent Lewis, Principal Hettmansberger, Gary Henry,

Board approved
the following Consent Agenda items: Treasurer’s Report,
Activity Report, resignation of Stephanie Fox, and authorization
for Superintendent to let fuel bids.
Approved
the regular meeting and executive session minutes of the January
22, 2008.
Freebairn
arrived at 5:04 PM.
Approved
the payment of bills as presented.
A thank
you cards for flowers were received from Linda Lawson and Karen
Riddell.
Principal
Hettmansberger: Congratulations to Shiloh Elementary students,
teachers, and staff. Shiloh Elementary has received a Spotlight
Schools Award from the Illinois State Board of Education for
the third year in a row.
Winterfest
week went smoothly. Congratulations to Omar Alhelwani and Emily
Joines, Winterfest King and Queen.
Election
Day went well. The election judges were given a schedule of
when they could pass to the hallways without interrupting classes
and that worked well.
New Discipline
Chart for Newman Grade School was reviewed and discussed. Finalized
chart will be presented at the next meeting for Board approval.
Superintendent
Lewis: Discussed the per capita tuition charge breakdown which
shows how the state computes this number basked on the audited
numbers.
Discussed
the 2008 Financial Profile Designation of Recognition status
from the ISBE. This is the highest status. Shiloh achieved 3.9
out of 4.0.
Still working
with Chrisman School District regarding special education services
for the next school year.
Discussions
will continue with Heritage and Chrisman regarding sports co-ops.
Have begun
interviewing guidance counselors.
Approved
Spanish Club canoe trip with dates dependent upon forecasted
temperature of at least 50o
Reviewed
course descriptions for art classes, junior math, and physical
education.
Continuing
discussions with DACC regarding online courses.
Means encouraged
the administration to try to reschedule the HS boys basketball
game scheduled for Tuesday, February 12, 2008.
Means questioned
if the security cameras had been checked. Dave and Harry’s
are to look at them when they are in the area. Superintendent
will contact them again.
